A Decision-Making Framework for Enhancing River Access
The 3-day course conducted by the River Management Society presents a six-phase planning and implementation process for considering and developing access along a river corridor. Hands-on, interactive exercises will showcase the methodology of the River Access Planning Guide, a decision-making and project planning tool.
The training will combine presentations, interactive exercises, site visits to two locations along the Tualatin River, and a canoe/kayak/SUP paddle trip to help participants develop their skills in implementing the planning framework on local projects. A manual with the Planning Guide process, case studies, and other planning tools is included with the course.
The registration fee supports morning refreshments, transportation of watercraft, and lunch for the fieldwork day. TRK will provide morning refreshments and lunch for the classroom days. We will finish early on Friday.
