Do you love plants? Are you interested in spending time outside and sharpening your native plant ID skills? Then volunteering at the Sparrowhawk Native Plant Sale is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of shifts and roles over the three days of the sale at Rise Church in Tigard. The address is 10445 SW Canterbury Ln / Tigard, OR 97224.
Volunteer shifts are 3-4 hours long, and volunteers are provided orientation and staff support during the event.
Not a plant nerd? No problem! There are plenty of volunteer roles to help with a variety of aspects of the sale. Public transportation is accessible via the Trimet #94 bus, which includes a .5-mile walk from the bus stop to the sale location.
If you forgot to place your native plant order, it's not too late! Swing by for the FLASH SALE and take advantage of deep discounts on a wide selection of native plants just in time for fall planting. Join us Saturday, 10/26, at 2 p.m. in the Rise Church parking lot. There will be about 1- 8 pots of almost every species at near wholesale prices!
Plant lovers will start lining up 10-15 minutes in advance. Most plants are usually gone within 15 minutes. Garden carts and plastic plant trays will be available—feel free to take the trays home! Payment is by credit card, Venmo, or exact change. See you there!
