Join Tualatin Riverkeepers to connect with nature and care for the Tualatin River Watershed!
Join Tualatin Riverkeepers to clear weeds around the base of our newly planted trees in the Dirksen Nature Park wetland in Tigard! This work supports wildlife habitat, water quality, soil health, and human connection throughout the park.
This past winter, we planted around 100 trees in the wetland. Now they need a little help to boost them through the summer. We'll be clearing weeds around their base and adding mulch, creating more space for them to grow healthy and happy in their new home.
Snacks, coffee, tools, safety gear, and instructions are provided. This park is accessible via the 76 Trimet bus line.
Thank you to our partners from Ash Creek Forest Management, City of Tigard, and Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District for supporting this project!
