Join Us on a Guided Nature Adventure

With Tualatin Riverkeepers you don't just get an outdoor trip, you get a learning experience that highlights the ecosystems, flora, and fauna throughout our watershed, both on the river and off of it. Our goal is not to provide simple outdoor recreation opportunities. Instead, we want to create connections and conservation education experiences that inspire our whole community to join us in environmental stewardship so we can keep enjoying the Tualatin River as it runs through our backyard.

Each of our Guided Trips have different nature-learning themes designed to highlight a particular aspect of our river and watershed. We have both river paddling trips, and land-based trips that get you out and about throughout the watershed. Our trips are led by trained naturalist guides that will help you discover what makes our river special, what makes our home special, and keep you safe while doing so. Our paddling trips are typically offered seasonally from May through October, and are suitable for all levels of water experience from total beginners to advanced paddlers. All of our guided paddle trips include:

  • Trained trip leaders
  • Safety boats
  • All necessary paddle gear

Any upcoming Guided Trips will be listed below - click on one to learn more and sign up!

Partner Paddles

We also partner with organizations in our community to collaboratively hold guided paddle trips for specific groups. Our partners range from Community Partners for Affordable Housing to Backyard Bird Shop to Centro Cultural de Washington County, and many more. If you or your organization is interested in working on a partner paddle opportunity with us, please reach out to Mark Fitzsimons at mark@tualatinriverkeepers.org
