$5 per student**
Field trips must be paid for in full within 15 days of receiving an invoice. We accept cash, checks, and credit and debit cards. Please make checks payable to Tualatin Riverkeepers.
*We do not charge for chaperones, classroom aids, or teachers.
** ‘TRK’s goal is for programs to be accessible financially to all members of the public. If your school or parents anticipate financial challenges with the $5/student fee, please contact Tualatin Riverkeepers.
Field trips are generally available Monday, Wednesday, or Friday throughout the school year. Our Fall Field Trip Season runs from September –November and our Spring Field Trip Season runs from February – April and in June. We accommodate a maximum of 60 students per day for field trips. Dates fill quickly, so please try to plan your trips well ahead of time.
*Teachers do not have to register every student. Please register the lead teacher for every field trip day–this teacher will receive emails from the environmental education coordinator regarding the field trip.
Schools are responsible for providing their own transportation.
Transportation Assistance is available for Title I Schools in Washington County. If you are a Title I School please let the Education Coordinator know.
Groups that fail to show up on the day of their reservation will be billed for the full program fee. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 14 days in advance.
After Your Trip
Reflection is an important part of TRK’s program. After your trip gather the thoughts, feedback, and impressions from your students, chaperones, and yourself. The Environmental Educator will send you a link to fill out Field Trip Evaluation Survey* as soon as possible after your trip. The feedback you provide us with is extremely appreciated and needed. This feedback will help inform future programming and improve naturalist training.
*If you are requesting transportation assistance, this evaluation will be required.
For any questions about the field trips or the price per student please contact the environmental education coordinator as soon as possible at Charissa@tualatinriverkeepers.org.
