upcoming volunteer opportunities

Your effort, skills and passion are needed and appreciated. The opportunities listed below are urgently needed right now. Once you find the perfect fit, email brittany@tualatinriverkeepers.org to learn about next steps. If you have a specific skill you'd like to contribute, please fill out our volunteer interest form.

Bottle Drop Volunteer

Take cans and bottles from LAM Research and turns them into donations for Tualatin Riverkeepers through Bottle Drop's Give Blue Bags program. Every Thursday from 9am-11am, volunteers fill up blue bags from LAM Research and drop them off at the local BottleDrop center. Each shift requires two people, with one of the people having the ability to haul a small trailer to store the blue bags. Shifts available starting immediately.

Stewardship Volunteer

We work throughout the watershed in partnership with local municipalities and organizations to target areas along the river that see the most impact or will be the most vital in building a resilient and healthy watershed. We need Crew Leaders who can safely and effectively manage our small group of volunteers at stewardship events. Crew Leaders may be asked to give a two-minute pitch about who we are at the beginning of the stewardship event in the absence of a staff member. If leading a team isn't your thing, we'd still love for you to join us as a planter. Events will be posted on our website by September 19th.

Outreach & Events Volunteer

Outreach volunteers make our organization more vibrant, diverse, and well-connected with our community. These folks are integral to the success of our events or tabling at community events. If you like connecting with the community, getting outside, and helping educate folks on how they can help protect the Tualatin River, sign up for an upcoming event. Tabling volunteers are needed for Pint-Sized Science. Our annual Green Heron Fundraiser will need a wide range of volunteers before, during, and after the event.
