Our work to create a climate-resilient watershed is not possible without our volunteers. We recognize that not everyone has equal access to the Tualatin River. These trainings are part of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion regardless of skill level or access.

Welcome to the virtual event of our Volunteer series! Tualatin Riverkeepers hosts our volunteer orientation to introduce community members to our program and what it means to be Riverkeepers (existing members are also highly encouraged to join). Before you can volunteer for your first Tualatin Riverkeepers event, we invite you to join us for a volunteer orientation. There are two opportunities to attend volunteer orientation, an in person training on April 8th and this virtual training on April 11th. You will be introduced to Tualatin Riverkeepers' program, the Tualatin River, and the various roles that volunteers can perform. Our volunteers serve as ambassadors to our mission to protect, restore, and enjoy the Tualatin River, so we want to give you the skills necessary to effectively advocate for the Tualatin watershed, regardless of volunteer role or skill level. Once you've attended volunteer orientation, you can find your place at Tualatin Riverkeepers and volunteer in a role that most excites you! There is additional training for stewardship and paddle trip volunteers, and we will guide you on the next steps and how to register.

Registering for this event will reserve a spot on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at 7:00 pm. While orientation is free, we do require registration. This training will occur on zoom, the link is provided through the eventbrite registration page and will become available 10 minutes prior to the meeting time.
