Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) is a community-based nonprofit working to protect, restore, and enjoy the Tualatin River watershed by promoting environmental stewardship, and we LOVE when our community volunteers with us!
This is the first in a series of training sessions for Tualatin Riverkeepers Restoration Crew Leader Certification.
Tualatin Riverkeepers is seeking volunteers who would like to embody what it means to be responsible and welcoming crew leaders for our restoration events! Restoration Crew Leaders lead small groups of volunteers in restoration and stewardship work at select sites in the watershed. The work is generally part of larger TRK-led projects, but opportunities to lead groups without a staff member present may also occur. TRK is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for our volunteers.
To become certified, you will be required to attend two training sessions, to shadow a restoration event, and then lead 4 small restoration events over the subsequent Spring, Summer, and/or Fall. The first training session can be either virtual or in person, the second is in person required.
