Now that you've attended our Paddle Volunteer overview session, the next step is to participate in a riverside launch site training that will cover the use of our trailers, equipment, boats, and paddling gear. We will also be going over trip procedures and responsibilities that are required on each outing so you can be safe, confident, and have a thorough understanding of the situations you may encounter as a paddle volunteer.
Note: we will NOT be paddling this time, but we will be outdoors. Since the training will be in the evening, we recommend wearing the appropriate shoes and jacket for warmth or rain protection.
Registering for this event will reserve a spot on Thursday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM. Please contact our River Experiences Coordinator, Mark Fitzsimons, at mark@tualatinriverkeepers.org if you have any questions about commitments and requirements.
